Good. Better. Betty
Our most powerful remote thumb-switch controlled LED light.
7 Cree® XP-G LEDs provide an astonishing 1750 lumens, in a single housing, from 0.25W – 23W. Our lens for the Betty was customized and developed by Lupine; therefore it works with more efficiently than any standard optic. Our own lens design allows us to harness all 23 watts of beam and provide a perfect beam pattern, creating a most enviable portable lighting package. Our highly-efficient electronic converter always makes sure you get a maximum light output. The big sister of Wilma is offered in four different bike light version sets and one headband-based light set. All Betty sets include our premium charger, the Charger-One, in a rugged CNC aluminum housing and with a digital display. Another highlight is the inclusion of a light weight and robust titanium front-cap for Betty.
Future upgrades can be accomplished by anyone, even without technical knowledge. This means if you already own a 1500 lumen Betty, you can increase its output to 1750 lumens with the 1750 lumen CREE XP-G LED array and lens Upgrade Kit.
The brightest Lupine ever. Distant and broad spread, butter-smooth and even beam. Our good old Edison had a hard time trying to compete against our improved Wilma LED light, and Betty is heads and shoulders better than our HID Edison. The age of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights is finally over. What has been valid for all Lupine lamps, is all the more so for Betty: The know-how acquired over 17 years of lamp development and the experience of countless trips through the night. 7 LEDs burn tireless in the darkness. The Betty can be mounted everywhere: on the handlebar, the helmet or as a headlight.

Betty 7--A Stellar Light!
Comments :
After a couple months of solid use I wanted to share some thoughts on my Betty 7. I could sum it up in one word though…incredible. This is my third Lupine light (it is hard for me to have just one of something good) and they just keep getting better. My buddies who ride with me jokingly call me Ra (the sun god) because of the lamp's brightness. The Betty has been flawless in everything from hiking in snow storms, shredding singletrack at night, to working on the land long after the sun has gone down. I also recommend the headband which gives one the ability to wear the light anywhere. If you are looking to spend your hard earned money on a well-made piece of equipment that will bring you years of service then look no further.

Also for naturalists and videographers!
Comments :
As a biologist searching for and filming animals at night, my two Betty lampheads (the older 1400 Lumen version) have been a boon. Not only can I spot more animals, and from farther away, than when using my old 20W halogen headlamps (rated at ca 500 Lumen), but the Bettys are so powerful that I can put very dense, opaque diffusers in front of them and create an extremely smooth, almost shadow-free light for filming small critters within a meter or two from the camera. If you film birds, mammals or other animals from farther away, you will most likely zoom in, and then the beam is wide enough to fill the frame w/o any diffusor. This is a very cold light - you need to white balance at 8600 to 8800 Kelvin (or filter the light with gels).
